Byron Bay surfers in rain. My first day here and its already raining....being here over week, its still raining every day...but if you want to see the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain. I'm hoping to see sun very soon, anyway I'm gonna stay here until sun is coming out. I went to water without wetsuit on my first surfing day.....and i got my first bruise and got cold very quickly. So that's why i had to buy wetsuit... buying surfboard is bit more complicated, cant find the ONE....today i might get good deal, one girl is coming to show hers... fingers crossed
Style points to these boys
Waiting waves near The Wreck and surfing at The Pass
One vessel ended her days in this spot 1921 and to this day her boilers and steerage can be seen.
Pauric with he's nice board and Swedish boys from my room
once a day we can see sun
crowded beach when sun is out, even if its just for couple of hours
Walking to lighthouse, its 3 km from Byron Bay. Just about half way up. To get there u have to climb up many many stairs. Once i even ran up there but its too painful, too many stairs to go. I need more practise and one day i will be like boys from my room and will run all the way up without taking any brakes.
Little lizard on the way.. Still beautiful view even though its just started to rain
Drawings on the sand
Finally up there....The Cape Byron Lighthouse is Australia's most easterly light being situated on the most easterly point of the mainland. It is also Australia's most powerful Lighthouse. Lighthouse and rain, kinda romantic.....and of course ice-cream :) how could i be without it. After little brake at the Lighthouse we took walking track to Captain Cook Lookout. The rain forest stretch near the lookout provides of good chance of seeing wallabies, bush turkeys and feral goats. We didn't see any this time...
Room nr 4 when sun is gone and its raining outside. Joel jumping one bed to other, i promised kiss for doing that. He he heee..... being so exited of doing hes jump he forgot a promised kiss. Lucky me this time, i definitely shouldn't give promises like these.
Interesting mail boxes middle of forest
One another rainy day when there was really bad waves too, me and two German girls decided to take little road trip to "noideawhere". We ended up in Nightcap National Park looking Minnyon Fall in pissing down rain, driving through "river", cos roads were flooded, driving on very narrow roads and buying ice-cream in hippy down Mullumbimby.
Narrow forest roads, love it!!!
Mullumbimby, small hippy down where we made lunch brake and had chat with locals
Good idea to get many people on your birthday party, just put signs all over the down. We have opportunity to go there if we don't have anything else to do on Sunday 10Th. Dried fruits for lunch, yam yam, they were really good and 100% natural.
Finally after months eating Magnum ice creams i won!
